Learning Together, Growing Together
One of the greatest joys in my teaching has been watching people learn together.
Sometimes that means parents and children.
Sometimes grandparents and grandchildren.
Sometimes close friends, neighbors, colleagues, artists, educators, or members of a community who simply enjoy learning together.
Over the years, I’ve found that when people practice together over time, Tai Chi becomes more than a weekly class. It gradually becomes part of everyday life.
People encourage one another.
They celebrate each other’s progress.
They learn patience.
They build trust.
Most importantly, they discover that learning is something we can continue throughout every stage of life.
That is one of the reasons I enjoy teaching groups.
Not because there are more people in the room, but because meaningful learning often grows through meaningful relationships.
Every Group Has Its Own Story
No two groups are the same.
Some families hope to spend more quality time together.
Some friends are looking for a healthy activity they can enjoy together.
Some workplaces want to support employee well-being.
Some schools and community organizations are exploring Tai Chi culture through movement, conversation, tea, and the arts.
Every group arrives with its own interests, experiences, and goals.
I enjoy listening first.
Together, we create a learning experience that feels natural for your group.
Some groups focus primarily on Tai Chi.
Others enjoy adding Qigong, Chinese fan art, tea appreciation, seasonal cultural themes, or conversations about Tai Chi philosophy and everyday life.
There is no single path.
There is only the path that feels right for you.
Beginning Doesn’t Have to Be Complicated
One thing I’ve learned through many years of teaching is that there is no perfect time to begin.
Some people are ready immediately.
Others need time to think, talk with family members, or simply become familiar with the idea.
I believe all of those beginnings are equally valuable.
If you’re still exploring, you don’t need to make any decisions right away.
Many people simply begin by joining me for Tea & Tai Chi.
We share tea.
We talk.
We experience a little movement together.
Sometimes that conversation naturally grows into regular practice.
Sometimes it simply becomes an enjoyable afternoon.
Either way is perfectly welcome.
There is no need to rush.
Every group discovers its own rhythm.
Learning That Fits Real Life
Life changes.
Children grow.
Parents need us.
Work becomes busy.
Vacations are planned.
Unexpected opportunities appear.
I’ve never believed that learning should compete with life.
Instead, I hope practice becomes a comfortable part of life.
That is one reason I organize continuing group learning in three-session learning cycles.
The purpose isn’t to finish something quickly.
It’s simply to create a comfortable rhythm.
Some groups meet every week.
Others gather once each month.
Some pause for holidays or family commitments before continuing again.
At the end of each three-session cycle, your group naturally has time to talk together.
When would you like to meet again?
Would monthly gatherings fit everyone’s schedule better?
Is someone planning a vacation?
Would it make sense to begin the next cycle after school starts again?
There is no pressure.
There is simply an opportunity to pause, reflect, and continue whenever your group feels ready.
I’ve found that this rhythm helps learning become sustainable.
People don’t feel guilty when life becomes busy.
Instead, they simply return when the time is right.
Meaningful progress doesn’t come from rushing.
It comes from returning.
Again and again.
One practice at a time.
Choosing the Right Learning Path
Every group begins in a different place.
Some are meeting for the first time.
Others have already built a steady rhythm together.

Why Continuing Groups Receive Preferred Rates
As the years have passed, I’ve noticed something beautiful.
Groups who continue learning together begin teaching one another in small, meaningful ways.
Someone remembers an exercise another person forgot.
Someone offers encouragement on a difficult day.
Someone celebrates another person’s progress.
These moments cannot be planned.
They simply grow through shared experience.
That is why I created the Continuing Group Program.
It isn’t designed to reward larger groups.
It isn’t simply about attending more classes.
It is my way of recognizing something much more meaningful.
Consistency.
Shared practice.
Mutual encouragement.
Long-term learning.
For me, these preferred rates are not simply about tuition.
They are one way of supporting learning communities that continue growing together.

An Invitation
Over the years, I’ve learned that meaningful learning rarely begins with pressure.
More often, it begins with curiosity.
With a conversation.
With an invitation from a friend.
Sometimes with a simple cup of tea.
If you’re wondering whether this experience might be right for your family, your friends, your colleagues, or your community, I’d be delighted to begin with a conversation.
There’s no need to decide today.
Take your time.
Talk together.
See what feels right.
When you’re ready, I’ll be here.
I look forward to welcoming you whenever the time feels right for your group.
Every Group Begins with a Conversation
Every successful learning journey begins with understanding.
During your consultation, I’ll take time to learn about your group, discuss your goals, answer your questions, and recommend a learning plan that best supports your shared interests.
Whether you’re just beginning or already have experience, I’ll help you create a meaningful learning journey together.
Learning together is not simply about practicing the same movements. It is about growing together through patience, encouragement, and shared experience.
