An Hour of

Tea and Tai Chi

A quiet way to begin

at Tao Tai Chi Studio, New Paltz, New York

Sometimes the best way to begin
is not to begin too quickly.

Tai Chi and Tea is a simple, relaxed introduction
to the space, the practice, and the rhythm of learning.

There is no expectation to continue.
You are welcome to come once,
or return again at another time.

We still begin with a short request

to help coordinate time and space.

What This Experience Is

This is not a formal class.

It is a quiet session that includes:

• gentle Tai Chi movement
• time to sit, drink tea, and rest
• space to notice how the body and mind respond

The pace is unhurried.
There is time to settle between movements.

Several teas are prepared, often including:

• black tea
• jasmine
• rose
• pu-erh

Along with a light Chinese-style snack.

The experience is simple and natural.

Who This Is For

This is often a good starting point for those who:

• feel curious, but not yet ready for a course
• prefer a relaxed and social atmosphere
• would like to experience the space before deciding
• want to bring a friend or family member

No prior experience is needed.

A Gentle First Step

For some, this is simply a quiet experience.

For others, it becomes a way to sense

whether a deeper practice may be meaningful.

There is no need to decide in advance.

Returning

You are welcome to return at another time.

Some people visit once.
Some return after a few months.
Some come once or twice a year.

Each visit offers a slightly different experience.

Structure and Tuition

This session is shared in a small group.

Standard visit:
$150 total (for 2–6 people)

If your first visit begins as scheduled,
you are welcome to return at a reduced rate within one year:

• $100 total for up to two people
• $120 total for up to five people

This reflects a continued relationship with the space.

A Note on Payment

Payment is made on the day of your visit.

There is no deposit required.

This is based on mutual trust
and respect for each person’s time and intention.

Sessions are arranged individually.

When you are ready,
you may reach out to find a suitable time.

Scheduling

After Your Visit

A Quiet Invitation

You are welcome to come as you are.

No preparation is needed.
