Why Consultation

before Registration (Free)

Begin with a Conversation

A simple first step, shaped around your rhythm

A clear and steady first step

Welcome.

If you decide to inquire, you begin with a short consultation form, not a quick sign up.

This helps you pause for a moment, consider your timing,

and see how Tai Chi may fit into your life right now.

You will receive a clear next step by email.

When it feels helpful, you may also choose to schedule a short online conversation.

A Simple Way to Begin

At Tao Tai Chi Studio, there is not just one way to start.

Some people come to explore quietly.

Some are ready for a steady practice.

Some simply want to experience Tai Chi once and see how it feels.

All of these paths are welcome.

There is no pressure to begin.

You are welcome to take your time.

When the moment feels right,

I will help you find a path that fits your rhythm.

A Rich Practice,
Used in Simple Ways

Tai Chi is a broad, layered art.

Traditionally, it includes qigong, slow martial training, solo forms, partner work,

and many ways of moving that support awareness, balance, clarity, and more.

Many people today only need its gentle, recreational side,

using slow movement to help the body feel lighter and the mind more settled.

Others are curious about the ideas behind the forms,

or how Tai Chi relates to practices they already know.

When you come to Tao Tai Chi Studio,

our conversation simply helps us see

which aspect of this practice is most suitable for you right now.

How the Process Works

If you wish to inquire, you may begin in one of two ways:

1. First, explore the programs that interest you

Tea & Tai Chi

• Private Training

• Beginner Small Group

Many people find clarity just by reading these pages.

2. When you feel ready, submit a consultation form

This is not an application to be accepted or rejected.

It is a way to share your interests and availability

so I can understand what may support you best.

3. I read your responses with care

There is no automated system.

I take time to understand your timing and your questions.

4. You receive a clear next step by email

Sometimes this is all you need.

When it seems helpful,

you may also choose to schedule a short online conversation.

Each step is simple and respectful of your time.

Some people begin right away.

Some return weeks or months later.

Both are natural.

Different Ways People Begin

There is no single path.

Some people:

• Join a small group and build a steady practice

• Begin with a short private foundation

• Come occasionally for Tea & Tai Chi

• Explore slowly before deciding

• Return after time away and continue naturally

Each path is valid.

The purpose of this first step
is simply to help you find where to begin.

A Note from the Teacher

Tao Tai Chi Studio is a small, one teacher space.

I teach, I garden, and I practice.

To keep the studio quiet and steady, I do not use the phone.

Email allows me to read your message with attention

and to respond at a moment that respects both your time and mine.

For Educators and
School Programs

If you are a teacher or school representative,

planning a group visit often involves coordination and preparation.

For this reason, I usually begin by email

and continue with a conversation if needed.

You are welcome to either:

• Complete the consultation form

• Or reach out directly by email

I will respond and guide the next step.

For Current & Returning Students

You are always welcome to return.

You may:

• Visit the current schedule directly
• Join a program that fits your rhythm
• Or reach out if you would like guidance

There is no need to rush.
Your practice continues naturally.

A Note on Rhythm

At Tao Tai Chi Studio, I do not rush the process.

I take time to align:

• Your schedule

• Your interest

• The learning environment

This allows each student to enter at the right moment

and supports a calm and steady atmosphere for everyone.

Begin When It Feels Right

You are welcome to explore.

You are welcome to take your time.

And when you feel ready,

the next step will be simple.

Before You Continue

Most people find what they need above.

If you already feel clear,
you are welcome to take the next step.

If you prefer to understand things more fully,
especially around structure, rhythm, and how this space is held,
you may continue reading below.

Who This Is For

This conversation is helpful if you are:

• Exploring Tai Chi for the first time
• Deciding between private and group learning
• Interested in Tea & Tai Chi or cultural experiences
• An educator planning a student visit
• A returning student seeking direction

A Space for
Different Ways of Learning

At different times, the studio holds different rhythms.

Sometimes quiet and focused,

with students engaged in long-term practice.

Sometimes more open and social,
with people gathering to experience Tai Chi, tea, or cultural activities together.

Some are drawn to the meditative and gentle aspects.
Some are curious about the martial roots expressed through slow movement.
Others simply come to rest and reconnect.

All of these are part of Tai Chi.

A Living Practice

For many students, Tai Chi gradually becomes part of daily life,
a way to move, to breathe, and to stay centered.

For others, it remains a quiet place to return to from time to time.

There is no fixed expectation.
Only a shared respect for the space,
and for each person’s rhythm.

A Note on Structure

Because each person comes with a different schedule and pace,

I take a thoughtful approach to planning.

Private sessions and small groups are arranged with care,

so that each student can enter at the right time

and learn in a steady, balanced environment.

This process helps everyone:

• Plan ahead

• Use time meaningfully

• Move forward without unnecessary pressure
